Our Story

Why we opened our doors.

Every family that calls us has a story. A fall in the kitchen. A stove left on. A parent who used to call every Sunday and now forgets which day it is. Behind every one of those stories is someone who loves them and wants to do the right thing.

We know that feeling. And we know how hard it is to look at big, busy care facilities and imagine someone you love living there. So we built something different: a real house on a quiet street in Lakewood, set up with everything a senior needs to be safe, and run by people who actually know each resident by name, by story, and by the little habits that make them who they are.

At Hillside Bliss, care isn't a schedule on a clipboard. It's knowing that Mr. Johnson likes the window cracked at night, that Ms. Rose wants her tea before anyone talks to her, and that a good day sometimes just means a long chat on the deck.

Our Mission

Our passion is meeting the needs of those in our care.

The medical needs, the daily needs, and the human needs. Being heard. Being comfortable. Being treated with respect.

Our Vision

A harmonious blend of care, community and comfort for seniors.

We picture a home where good care and a good life happen under the same roof, every day.

What We Believe

The values behind every shift.

These aren't words on a wall. They shape how we hire, how we train, and how we treat every resident and family.

Dignity

Respect first

We knock before we enter. We ask before we help. Every resident has a say in their own day.

Warmth

Kindness, always

Patience on hard days, a laugh on good ones. Our residents feel cared for, not managed.

Safety

Eyes that notice

Small home, close attention. Changes in health get spotted early and acted on quickly.

Honesty

Open with families

Good news or hard news, you hear it from us first, clearly and kindly.

Our Team

The people behind the care.

Our caregivers are trained and certified to the standards Washington State requires for adult family homes. But what we look for first is heart. People who are patient, who listen, and who treat this work as more than a job.

Add the owner/provider name, a short bio, and years of experience here. Families trust a home more when they can put a face and a name to it.

Photos only tell part of the story. Walk through the rooms, meet the people who would care for your loved one, and ask us anything. No pressure, no sales pitch.
